Free myspace backgrounds have two very basic flavors: color (monochrome) myspace backgrounds and myspace backgrounds using images. There is no inherent value of one over the other. Choosing one depends on several factors, including the subjective judgment of you and your visitors.
Myspace Background color + myspace background image.
When using a background image, it takes a moment or two for the myspace background to display. In these situations, it's wise to designate a background color. This color displays the page content well while the background graphic loads. Also, a background color is a visual clue to viewers the page has been "reached" and is loading.
Image file size.
Be aware of the size of the graphic you use for your background. Keep it as small as possible. The larger the graphic, the longer the delay while the background loads.
Texture backgrounds.
Texture backgrounds have three basic types:
- "Noise" gives a rough appearance to the background.
- Some simulate real-world textures, like wood, stucco, or concrete.
- Some simulate designs, including floor tile patterns or mosaic designs.
- Some use objects in their design.
These include grass, flowers, and pebbles as examples of objects used in backgrounds.
